February 1st, 2017

Hello families and friends,

Today we started with Making Words using the letters 'a', 'e', 'i', 'g', 'm', 'r', 's', and 't'.  We each had a tile for each of these letters and used them to make as many words as we can.  In the comments below, post a word using these letters that is at least 5 letters long.  Then we went to the Learning Commons to switch out our books.  We finished off our morning practicing our Read to Self, and working on our doubles facts with Doubles Go Fish.  In the afternoon, we continued our research on leopard geckos.  We learned how to find important information from videos and how to take notes of important information from websites.  Then we went out on our Winter Walk.  In gym we continued working on our skipping skills.

Thank you to everyone who sent in materials for our insulators.  We will work on building them tomorrow to prepare for (hopefully!) some snow next week.

A reminder that this Friday is a PD Day, so there is no school for students.

Have a wonderful Wednesday,
Mr. Soulliere
