Hello families and friends,
Today we started by working on our writing. We wrote about our weekends, and included one imaginary detail. Ask your child what they wrote about. Then we had an assembly! It was put on by the Earth Rangers. We saw lots of cool animals and learned a lot about taking care of the animals. Ask your child what they saw. In the afternoon we did our words of the week. Our words of the week for this week are "or", "an", "by", and "was" for grade ones, and "laugh", "they", "he", and "she" for grade twos. Then we practiced our math game Making 10 Go Fish. After that we did a fractal art activity with our buddies in room 74. What is a fractal? Post your answers in the comments below. In gym we worked on our soccer skills.

We will not be able to go on our community walk this Friday due to the start of our Friday Clubs. Instead, we will be aiming for next Thursday, November 3rd in the morning. If you would be available to come along with us please email me.
Don't forget this Wednesday is Math night, and this Thursday is the Halloween Howler. Ticket orders for the Howler are due back tomorrow at the latest.

I didn't have a buddy but I did my fractal art with a pattern that got smaller as it went up the page.
