Hello families and friends,
We started today by writing about our weekends. Then we practiced our Read to Self and Read to Someone skills. After that we introduced our words of the week. They are "come", "over", "as", and "good" for grade ones, and "were", "had", "kind", and "fast" for grade twos. In the comments below, write a sentence that includes at least five of our words this week. In the afternoon we started with our calendar work and mental math warmup. After that we introduced a new math game, Guess My Number. Ask your child how we played this. Then we got into groups and made a list of things we think of when we think of Hot and Cold. In gym, we started gymnastic.
Swimming forms are due back next Monday, January 16th.
